Cathay Pacific Launches Direct Flights to Dallas, Expanding North American Network

Cathay Pacific has touched down in Texas with the official launch of its new non-stop passenger flights between Hong Kong and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, which took off on April 24, 2025. This marks the sixth new passenger destination added by the Cathay Group this year, as part of an ambitious expansion plan that includes 15 new routes announced for 2025— with more on the way.

Cathay Director Customer Travel Erica Peng (second from left) and Airport Authority Hong Kong Executive Director, Airport Operations Steven Yiu Siu-chung (second from right) marked the new service’s launch at Hong Kong International Airport

The new service further strengthens Cathay Pacific’s footprint in North America and enhances global connectivity through its home hub, Hong Kong. The airline now offers greater flexibility and convenience for both business and leisure travellers flying between Asia and the southern United States.

A launch celebration was held at Hong Kong International Airport, with Cathay Director Customer Travel Erica Peng and Airport Authority Hong Kong Executive Director, Airport Operations Steven Yiu Siu-chung officiating the event.

Cathay Pacific will operate four return flights weekly between Hong Kong and Dallas using its fuel-efficient Airbus A350-1000, equipped with Business, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins for a premium onboard experience. The flight schedule for the service is as follows (all local times):

This new route joins a growing list of North American destinations served by Cathay Pacific, which will operate over 110 return flights per week this summer to cities including Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Toronto, and Vancouver.

Dallas isn’t the only new addition—upcoming launches include Urumqi (28 April), Rome (5 June), Munich (16 June), and Brussels (3 August). The Dallas passenger service will also complement Cathay Cargo’s existing freighter operations, which currently run nearly 40 weekly return flights to North America via Anchorage.
