This Earth Day, Paya Lebar Quarter (PLQ) and Mandai X are turning eco-education into a thrilling family adventure with the launch of Ranger Buddies @ PLQ Parkside: Missions Around the World. Kicking off on 22 April 2025 and running through the end of 2026, this two-year interactive initiative invites families to dive into environmental missions that spark curiosity and champion sustainability.
Set against the scenic backdrop of PLQ Parkside, this new programme blends real-world activities with augmented reality, guiding participants through eight engaging missions inspired by real environmental challenges—from rising sea levels and deforestation to habitat loss and illegal wildlife trade.
The journey begins with Trouble on Everest, running from 22 April to 5 June 2025. Participants will be virtually transported to the Himalayas, where they’ll investigate village flooding, rescue red pandas, and take part in a digital clean-up mission. With vibrant storytelling and immersive displays, the experience is designed to make environmental stewardship fun and accessible for all ages.
