Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2025 Unveils New Two-Day Race Format

The Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon (SCSM) 2025 is back—and this year, it’s making history with an all-new two-day race format happening on 6–7 December 2025. For the first time ever, the Half Marathon and Marathon events will take place on separate days, promising a smoother, more spacious, and more enjoyable experience for runners and spectators alike.

After a record-breaking 2024 edition that drew over 55,000 runners from around the world, the refreshed 2025 format is set to welcome even more participants to Southeast Asia’s only World Athletics Gold Label Race.

What’s New This Year

Here’s how the upgraded race weekend is shaping up:

  • Saturday, 6 December: Half Marathon, 5km, and Kids Dash
  • Sunday, 7 December: Marathon, Ekiden Relay, and 10km

With participation in the Half and Full Marathon categories increasing by 46% and 31% respectively over the past three editions, the change comes at the perfect time. Each race now gets its own spotlight, ensuring dedicated courses, tailored support, and electric race-day atmospheres for all runners.

The two-day structure also brings early advantages for 5km runners, who will now flag off at 6:30am, two hours earlier than before—making for a cooler and more comfortable start. The Kids Dash also moves to Saturday morning, placing young runners right in the heart of the action for a more festive and family-friendly vibe.

Run for the Views—and the Community

Participants can look forward to a scenic course featuring Singapore’s iconic landmarks, with details on routes and road closures to be announced closer to the event.

True to its community spirit, Standard Chartered will continue supporting inclusivity with 200 free race slots for community groups, including Special Olympics Singapore, and offer parents the chance to gift race entries for children supported by the ComLink+ programme. Runners can also make donations to Futuremakers, the Bank’s global initiative empowering youth through education and employment.

Run-cation Returns

Standard Chartered cardholders can once again enjoy the Run-cation promotion, running from 16 April to 30 September 2025. Sign up with a Singapore-issued Standard Chartered Credit or Debit Card and stand a chance to win a dream trip to the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2026, complete with marathon entries, round-trip business class flights, and three nights’ hotel stay.
