YouTrip has officially launched its Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) wallet, unlocking new levels of convenience and savings for travelers heading to Johor Bahru. Now available to all users, the MYR wallet allows seamless exchange and storage of ringgit at competitive rates—no hidden fees or FX markups.
The launch comes as YouTrip data shows a surge in pre-trip currency conversions, especially around long weekends like Hari Raya Puasa and Good Friday. On 9 April, when the MYR dropped to 3.33 against SGD, the platform saw a 130% jump in MYR conversions, with twice the usual number of users locking in the rate—proof that Singaporeans are planning smart and spending wisely.
To celebrate the launch, YouTrip is rolling out free shuttle buses from Kranji MRT to Mid Valley Southkey in JB—just in time for your next shopping or foodie trip. The service will run every Saturday and Sunday from 19 April to 11 May 2025, with buses departing every 30 minutes from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM.
Shoppers rejoice—YouTrip is offering 3% cashback on all MYR spending for the first 5,000 users who hit a minimum S$200 cumulative spend.
