Wise, the global fintech company revolutionizing cross-border money management, has expanded its Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore with a brand-new office at Paya Lebar Quarter. Spanning 31,800 square feet—25% larger than its previous space—this marks Wise’s largest office in Singapore to date, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to the region.
The new office was officially inaugurated by Siisi Saetalu, Deputy Head of the Estonian Embassy, and Nik Mehta, British High Commissioner to Singapore. This expansion follows a year of global growth, with Wise opening new offices in London, Tallinn, and Kuala Lumpur, as well as expanding its Austin hub. Wise’s recent inclusion in the Financial Times Best Employers Asia-Pacific 2025 list further highlights its commitment to building an inclusive and forward-thinking workplace.
Since establishing its Asia Pacific headquarters in 2016, Wise has played a crucial role in the region, which is now its second-largest revenue-generating market globally, after Europe. Over the past two years, the company’s Singapore team has doubled to nearly 600 employees, covering Product, Engineering, Operations, Customer Service, and Compliance. Notably, Wise’s Singapore-based Engineering team now makes up 10% of its global engineering workforce.
Wise has also seen impressive customer adoption, with its Singapore user base growing by 30% in the past financial year. A major driver of this growth is Wise Platform, the company’s infrastructure solution for banks and enterprises, which has secured key partnerships with Standard Chartered, Morgan Stanley, Agoda, and Tiger Brokers.
The expansion also aligns with Wise’s continued investment in digital financial services across Asia Pacific. Since 2018, Wise has been building direct payment system integrations, becoming the first non-bank to connect to the UK’s Faster Payment System (FPS). Today, it has six direct integrations, including Singapore’s FAST, the Philippines’ InstaPay, and Australia’s NPP, with approvals to join Japan’s domestic payment network, Zengin.
Designed to foster collaboration, innovation, and well-being, Wise’s new office draws inspiration from Asia Pacific’s rich cultural heritage, incorporating the five natural elements—metal, earth, water, fire, and wood—into its layout. Key features include:
With this expansion in Singapore, Wise is reinforcing its position as a leader in the digital payments and fintech sector, ensuring seamless cross-border money movement while fostering a dynamic workplace for its growing team.
