DBS/POSB Celebrates SG60 with Year-Long Deals and Support for Seniors

As Singapore marks its 60th birthday, DBS/POSB is rolling out a year-long lineup of exclusive rewards and financial support initiatives to help customers save more while giving back to the community. From 60-cent grocery and meal deals to reduced mortgage payments and cash bonuses for salary crediting, the bank is making everyday life more affordable. At the same time, DBS Foundation is stepping up efforts to uplift vulnerable seniors, reinforcing its commitment to an inclusive, ageing-friendly society.

Helping Customers Save on Everyday Essentials

Throughout 2025, DBS/POSB customers can enjoy a series of “60-themed” promotions via the POSB Everyday Card and PAssion POSB Debit Card, including:

  • Now – 30 June: Purchase 1kg of rice or 500ml of cooking oil for just 60 cents at any Sheng Siong supermarket (limited to 50,000 redemptions per item per month).
  • 1 July – 30 September: 60-cent meal deals at select food and beverage outlets featuring local favorites.
  • 1 October – 31 December: 60% off entry passes to participating attractions for a fun-filled family experience.

Details on participating merchants and attractions will be announced later.

Lower Mortgage Payments & Cash Bonuses

For HDB homeowners, DBS/POSB is offering a special three-year Fixed Rate Home Loan at 2.55% p.a., lower than the current HDB concessionary rate of 2.60% p.a. Homeowners can also make partial prepayments without extra charges.

Meanwhile, salary-crediting customers, including full-time national servicemen (NSFs) and first-jobbers, can receive a one-time cash bonus of up to SGD 310 by crediting their salaries into a DBS/POSB account for three consecutive months and linking their account to PayNow.

Additional cashback rewards and support packages for small businesses will be announced in the coming months.

Strengthening Support for Vulnerable Seniors

Beyond customer benefits, DBS Foundation is deepening its commitment to supporting underprivileged seniors. Volunteers will engage seniors in super-aged towns like Ang Mo Kio, Queenstown, and Bedok, focusing on improving nutrition and fostering social connections. These efforts align with the bank’s mission to build an inclusive and ageing-friendly society.

Through its POSB “Support Our Heartlands” initiative, the bank will also expand financial literacy programs and Getai roadshows to more neighborhoods, making digital and financial education more accessible.

A Milestone Celebration for All

The bank’s SG60 initiatives were unveiled at the POSB “Support Our Heartlands” event at Tiong Bahru Plaza on March 15, 2025, with Education Minister Chan Chun Sing and Senior Parliamentary Secretary Eric Chua joining the festivities.
