Klook Partners with CrescentRating and HalalTrip to Elevate Muslim-Friendly Travel

Muslim travelers can now explore the world with greater confidence and convenience, thanks to a landmark partnership between Klook, CrescentRating, and HalalTrip. Announced at the NATAS Travel Fair in Singapore, this collaboration integrates CrescentRating’s trusted Muslim-friendly ratings directly into Klook’s platform, making it easier than ever to book verified, faith-conscious experiences.

A New Era of Inclusive Travel

This first-of-its-kind integration allows Muslim travelers to instantly identify experiences that align with their faith-based needs—such as halal food options and prayer facilities—without the hassle of extensive research. Curated experiences will also be featured on HalalTrip’s platform, expanding their reach to a global Muslim audience.

Addressing a Growing Market Demand

The Muslim travel market is one of the fastest-growing segments in global tourism. Studies by CrescentRating highlight that:

  • 65% of Muslim travelers prioritize halal food availability
  • 73% consider access to prayer facilities essential
  • A majority prefer booking travel experiences online, yet many spend extra time verifying faith-based amenities

With this partnership, Klook becomes the first global experiences platform to offer verified Muslim-friendly ratings, ensuring seamless booking and greater peace of mind.

Expanding Across Southeast Asia and Beyond

The integration will first roll out across Southeast Asia, where the Muslim population exceeds 280 million, and where international travel spending by Muslim travelers is expected to hit $48 billion by 2025.

This comes at a time when Muslim travel is booming—with international arrivals rising from 160 million in 2019 to 175 million in 2024, and the market value projected to reach $225 billion by 2028, according to the Mastercard-Crescentrating Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI).

With this pioneering move, Klook, CrescentRating, and HalalTrip are setting a new standard for inclusivity in global travel, ensuring that Muslim travelers can explore the world with confidence, ease, and authenticity.
