Singtel Unveils 5G+: Expanding Nationwide Coverage with 700 MHz Spectrum

Singtel has taken Singapore’s 5G connectivity to the next level with the launch of Singtel 5G+, marking the nation’s first deployment of the 700 MHz spectrum. This breakthrough significantly strengthens signal penetration, delivering up to 40% better coverage in high-rise buildings, underground spaces, and remote areas—all without additional cost to customers.

Stronger, Wider Coverage for All

With the low-frequency 700 MHz band, Singtel can extend connectivity across greater distances using fewer towers, making it easier to reach peripheral regions such as Tuas, Kranji, Sungei Kadut, Changi East, and Jurong Island. This means seamless video calls, live streaming, and gaming experiences even in traditionally hard-to-reach locations, while enterprises benefit from more reliable connectivity for mission-critical operations.

Enhanced Reliability in Dense Urban Areas

Singapore’s urban landscape presents unique challenges for connectivity, but Singtel 5G+ is designed to overcome them. The deep penetration of the 700 MHz spectrum ensures stronger and more stable connections in basements, high-rise HDB estates, and commercial buildings, where signal interference is common. Industries like security and manufacturing will also see improvements in real-time video monitoring, emergency response, and operational efficiency.

Pioneering the Future of 5G in Singapore

As the first telco to achieve 5G nationwide coverage in 2022, Singtel continues to push boundaries with innovations like network slicing for enterprises and enhanced connectivity at high-traffic events such as the National Day Parade, Taylor Swift, and Coldplay concerts. The 700 MHz deployment further cements Singapore’s position as a global testbed for 5G innovation, ensuring consumers and businesses stay ahead in an increasingly digital world.
