IKEA Revives Iconic Designs with Vibrant Colors and Bold Shapes in Nytillverkad Collection

IKEA Singapore is bringing back some of its most beloved designs in a fresh and colorful revival of the Nytillverkad collection. This sixth edition reimagines classic pieces with bold patterns, curvy silhouettes, and eye-catching hues, offering a nostalgic yet modern take on timeless designs.

Dream in Blue and White

Originally featured in an IKEA catalogue in 1973, Sven Fristedt’s blue and white SKYAR pattern has been reintroduced as the ÄNGSVITVINGE duvet cover set ($39.90). Designed to evoke soft, fluffy clouds, this dreamy bedding set transforms your bedroom into a peaceful retreat.

A Vase with a Strong Profile and Soft Shape

First introduced as SNURRA in 1995, Swedish designer Anna Efverlund’s playful glass vases are back under the name KÄLLARHALS. Available in orange (26 cm, $24.90) and yellow (22 cm, $29.90), these statement vases are perfect for both lush bouquets and elegant long-stemmed florals.

A Loveseat in a Bold Red Hue

Once known as PUCK, this classic armchair—designed by Gillis Lundgren in 1969—is back in a striking red as the SOTENÄS armchair ($299). Roomy enough for two, this low and wide loveseat adds a bold, playful touch to any living space.

A Timeless Glow for Your Home

Originally known as RISLAMPA, IKEA’s classic rice paper lamps have been lighting up homes since 1969. Now reintroduced as the GULLSUDARE pendant lamp shade ($16.90), this handmade, 70 cm-wide shade creates an inviting ambiance—a statement piece at an unbeatable price.

Elegant Oak for Every Space

Inspired by the NOVETTE benches from 1963, the GUTTANE coffee table ($299) and GUTTANE side table ($199), designed by Erik Wørts, bring a touch of timeless Scandinavian elegance. With solid oak legs and oak veneer tabletops, these pieces blend classic craftsmanship with modern functionality.
