Welcome the Lunar New Year with the Wan Qing Festival of Spring 2025

Get ready to usher in the Year of the Snake at the Wan Qing Festival of Spring 2025, hosted by the Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall in partnership with SAFRA Punggol. Happening on February 8 and 9, 2025, from 11 AM to 5:30 PM, this vibrant festival is packed with activities, workshops, and performances for the entire family.

A Cultural Celebration Like No Other

Experience the essence of Lunar New Year with unique activities such as snakelet pineapple tart-making workshops, traditional storytelling, tangyuan (glutinous rice ball) crafting, and Chinese zodiac ink rubbing art. Explore the rich heritage of Chinese opera mask design and enjoy a Lunar New Year-themed exhibition that captures the spirit of the season.

Thrilling Performances to Captivate All Ages

Don’t miss the rare Hakka Qilin dance, exhilarating lion and dragon dances, wushu displays, and a mesmerizing Chinese string quartet. End your day with captivating Chinese opera performances that bring timeless tales to life.

Hands-On Workshops for Families and Kids

Join the parent-child workshops to craft adorable snakelet pineapple tarts or vibrant rainbow tangyuan, perfect for bonding moments. Kids aged 6-12 can dive into festive fun with lion dance and Chinese drumming workshops, taking home DIY kits to keep the festive spirit alive.
