Singapore’s gastronomic scene welcomes an exciting addition with the debut of Yakiniku Gyubei, Japan’s pioneering head-to-tail yakiniku restaurant, at 100AM Mall. Marking its first overseas expansion, Yakiniku Gyubei is set to captivate local diners with its 25-year legacy of serving premium Wagyu cuts while championing a zero-waste philosophy.
Founded in 1999, Yakiniku Gyubei differentiates itself from other yakiniku restaurants by utilising every part of the cow, offering 24 cuts of Wagyu ethically sourced from Kyushu, Japan. This approach not only minimises waste but enhances the dining experience with a unique flavour and texture profile for each cut.
Prices are set pretty reasonable. Lunch options start at $13.90, with highlights like the Signature Gyubei Lunch ($33.90) featuring Wagyu beef ribs and akami beef.
For a more indulgent experience, the Omakase Lunch for Two ($100) offers a curated selection of six premium cuts paired with sides such as beef bibimbap and beef rib soup.
Dinner extends the indulgence with à la carte offerings, including Wagyu sushi, sashimi, and grilled assortments like the Omakase BBQ Courses, available in 4 Kinds ($48), 6 Kinds ($98), and 8 Kinds ($148).
To mark its arrival, Yakiniku Gyubei is offering an exclusive grand opening promotion.
From January 10–26, 2025, enjoy $30 off the 6 Kinds Yakiniku Omakase Set, now priced at $68 (U.P. $98).
Walk-ins only, so be sure to arrive early to secure your spot.
Royal Shoji, Yakiniku Gyubei’s parent company, introduces another culinary gem with Shabu-Shabu Sumire-An, located just beside the Yakiniku Gyubei restaurant at 100AM.
This shabu-shabu concept mirrors the head-to-tail philosophy, offering premium Wagyu cuts in rich broths like Spicy Miso Dashi and Soy Milk Dashi.
Prices start at $15.90 for lunch, while dinner sets, such as the Sumire-An Course ($88), combine Wagyu beef and Hokkaido silky pork belly with an all-you-can-eat buffet of fresh vegetables and desserts:
Pro-tips – leave some room for the curry rice from the buffet line as comfort food to round up your meal; also, add a dash of the yuzhu condiment into your yakiniku sauce base for a zesty kick.
With 22 outlets across Japan, Yakiniku Gyubei, the restaurant chain has a significant support base in its homeground and the Singapore branch promises the same standards, importing top-grade Wagyu beef from Kyushu’s finest farms.
