Caritas Singapore and Give.Asia Unveil Advent Calendar of Kindness to Spark Christmas Joy

This Christmas season, Caritas Singapore, in collaboration with Give.Asia, introduces the Advent Calendar of Kindness—a meaningful 24-day journey leading up to Christmas designed to inspire acts of generosity and spread festive cheer.

A Year of Impact

Before diving into this initiative, let’s celebrate Caritas Singapore’s incredible achievements this year:

  • 4,000+ beneficiaries supported with targeted assistance.
  • 8,300+ therapy sessions conducted to provide care and healing.
  • 2,400+ parents and children empowered through workshops.
  • 2,000+ seniors served with companionship and essential services.
  • 1,000+ children and youths nurtured through programs.
  • 700+ inmates and ex-offenders guided towards new beginnings.

Despite these efforts, the journey to combat loneliness and hunger among marginalized families, children, and seniors continues. This Christmas, Caritas is rallying the community to give back and ensure no one is left behind.

The Advent Calendar of Kindness

24 Days, 24 Stories: Beginning 1 December, the Advent Calendar unlocks a daily story of resilience, a heartfelt wish, or a creative initiative aimed at uplifting those in need. Each day is a call to action, inviting donations that will provide food and essential support for low-income families this festive season.

Collectible Moments: Participants can gather mementos and inspiring messages to share with loved ones, encouraging a ripple effect of kindness across the community.

Campaign Goals

  1. Combat Loneliness and Hunger: Provide emotional and physical support for vulnerable groups during the festive season.
  2. Raise Awareness and Funds: Spotlight the stories of marginalized families, children, and seniors while securing resources to continue Caritas’ impactful work.
