The 2024 lineup showcases a diverse array of dishes, ranging from viral sensations to healthy super salads and hearty local delicacies. Deliveroo reports that viral food trends, such as dishes inspired by TikTok, made up 40% of the global top 10, reflecting the growing influence of social media on dining choices.
This year marks a milestone with a dessert topping the global list for the first time. Dubai’s “Cannot Get Knafeh of It” has not only captured hearts locally but also sparked global attention, with over 90 million TikTok views and fans traveling thousands of miles to taste it.
Classic dishes continue to thrive, but healthy and customisable options have surged, with salads making up 30% of the top 10.
Additionally, Asian and local delicacies remain staples, highlighting the global appeal of diverse cuisines.
