Cathay Pacific is set to enhance its European network with exciting new routes for summer 2025. The airline will launch its first-ever direct flights to Munich and bring back direct services to Brussels, offering travelers seamless connections between Hong Kong and two of Europe’s key cities.
Starting 16 June 2025, Cathay Pacific will introduce its debut service to Munich, with four weekly return flights between Hong Kong and the Bavarian capital. Known for its rich history, vibrant culture, and status as a major European economic hub, Munich is an essential gateway for both business and leisure travelers. Whether you’re heading to business meetings or exploring the city’s historic landmarks, Cathay Pacific offers a comfortable, non-stop flight experience.
This new service marks Cathay Pacific’s second destination in Germany, complementing its established daily service to Frankfurt. From Munich, travelers can also enjoy convenient connections to Asia-Pacific destinations through the airline’s Hong Kong hub and various European cities via its partner airlines.
Cathay Pacific will also resume direct flights to Brussels starting 3 August 2025, reconnecting Hong Kong with the heart of Europe. As Belgium’s political and transportation center, Brussels is also known for its historic architecture and cultural significance. The reintroduced service will provide more travel options for those looking to connect between Asia and Europe.
Both the Munich and Brussels routes will be operated with Cathay Pacific’s state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 aircraft, ensuring passengers enjoy a smooth and comfortable journey. The A350 features fully flat beds in Business Class, spacious Premium Economy seats, and ample comfort in Economy Class.
Summer 2025 will see Cathay Pacific operating up to 93 return flights per week to Europe, an increase from the current 78 weekly flights. This includes daily services to key cities such as London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Manchester, Milan, Paris, and Zurich, alongside seasonal flights to Madrid and Barcelona. With these additions, Cathay Pacific continues to strengthen its position as a leading airline connecting Europe with Asia.
Travelers from Europe can also connect to a vast array of Asia-Pacific destinations through Cathay Pacific’s Hong Kong hub, which serves 19 destinations in Mainland China in addition to regional locations via its low-cost carrier, HK Express.
Flight schedules for Cathay Pacific’s Hong Kong-Munich and Hong Kong-Brussels services are as follows (all times local, subject to regulatory approval):
In addition to its growing passenger network, Cathay Cargo will operate seven freighter flights per week to and from Europe starting in summer 2025.
