Over 2,000 artworks found new homes, further cementing the fair’s reputation as a premier platform for art appreciation and collection.

Reflecting on 15 Years of Artistic Growth

Since its debut in 2010, Affordable Art Fair Singapore has grown from a pioneering event to a transformative force in the local art scene. Over the past 15 years, it has welcomed 235,000 visitors and facilitated more than S$61.8 million in art sales, making art accessible to seasoned collectors and first-time buyers alike.

This year’s fair highlighted:

  • 46% first-time attendees, with 21% of them purchasing art, showcasing the fair’s ability to convert new visitors into collectors.
  • 24% of total visitors bought art, a notable rise from last year’s 18%.
  • A high loyalty rate, with 96% of attendees expressing intent to return, up from 88% last year.

Celebrating Art with Engaging Highlights

The 2024 edition featured a rich tapestry of programs and installations:

  • Arty-Licious Evening: A charity-focused night with live art, talks, and the exclusive Talking Textiles Handmade Print Stamp Rally, where attendees crafted their own mini artworks.
  • Special Projects: Dynamic installations like Deborah McKellar’s recreated artist studio, Li Shudan’s Spirit of the Apple installation, and Yerin Shin’s 3D-printed urban landscapes that explored the fusion of art and technology.
  • #SPOTLIGHT Exhibition: A special showcase of 20 galleries reflecting their artistic evolution and long-standing connection with the fair.
  • Workshops by Objectifs: Interactive sessions on photography and framing art, offering attendees a hands-on glimpse into the creative process.

Supporting Local Talent and Building Community

With 83 galleries and 91 Singaporean artists represented, the fair celebrated a blend of global diversity and local creativity. Many Singapore-based artists showcased work that has evolved alongside the fair, reflecting its role in nurturing emerging talent.

The Children’s Art Studio by Art Wonderland and Republic Polytechnic offered young visitors a sustainable art-making experience, inspiring the next generation of artists.

Art Meets Lifestyle

Beyond the art, visitors enjoyed a variety of culinary delights from vendors like Si Chuan Dou Hua, Chimichanga, and the Champagne Lounge, creating a holistic and vibrant fair experience.

  • I had no idea what to expect when I walked into this place, but their wine selection completely blew me away. They have everything from sparkling wines to rich reds, and each one seems perfectly chosen. I ordered a glass of chardonnay, and it was buttery, smooth, and paired perfectly with our meal. My friend tried a rosé, which was light and refreshing—ideal for a casual evening out. The ambiance is cozy, and the service is top-notch, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy great wine. If you’re curious, you can see their full wine menu here. Trust me, you’ll want to go.
