In the spirit of unity and generosity, the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) has launched The Great Singapore Give (GSG)—a four-month nationwide campaign running from November 18, 2024, to February 28, 2025. This initiative celebrates the season of giving as Singapore gears up for its 60th year of independence (SG60) with the theme ‘Building Our Singapore Together’.
GSG seeks to inspire individuals, groups, and organizations to contribute their time, talent, treasure, ties, or testimony through the Giving.sg platform. With the tagline ‘Everyone Can Give’, the campaign encourages Singaporeans to give in everyday ways and nurture a culture of compassion.
The centerpiece of GSG is SG Cares Giving Week, a collaborative effort involving over 200 partners, including corporations, charities, and community groups. This weeklong event creates diverse opportunities for all Singaporeans to give back.
Highlight initiatives include:
To encourage sustained giving, Giving.sg will introduce a recurring donation feature from November 18, allowing givers to pledge monthly support for causes of their choice.
The campaign is backed by sponsors including CapitaLand, Lendlease, ParkRoyal, UOB Bank, and more. These sponsors amplify the campaign’s reach by offering spaces and facilities at pro-bono rates, fostering a greater sense of community.
More details about SG Cares Giving Week will be revealed on December 1, 2024. For updates and participation, visit here.
