As the holiday season approaches, Changi Airport is embracing a new wave of magic and charm with the fifth annual Changi Festive Village, spotlighting Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary in a celebration of adorable Sanrio characters, interactive installations, and fun-filled experiences.
Running from 1 November 2024 to 16 February 2025, this year’s festivities promise an unforgettable experience for travelers and visitors alike.
Greeting visitors in Terminal 3 Departure Hall, an 8-meter-tall Hello Kitty topiary stands as the centerpiece of the Hello Kitty Festive Wonderland. Surrounded by Sanrio characters like My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, and Pompompurin, this enchanting display invites fans to capture memories against a backdrop of larger-than-life installations.
A rainbow slide, snow shows, and exclusive meet-and-greet sessions on weekends add to the magical atmosphere. Visitors who spend S$50 at participating outlets can reserve a pass through the Changi App for these weekend meet-and-greets.
Hello Kitty and friends spread cheer throughout the airport with over 15 themed displays across Terminals 1 to 4.
From Hello Kitty in a rickshaw to a playful Pompompurin, fans can embark on a photo scavenger hunt, creating Instagram-worthy moments with each Sanrio icon.
At the T3 Arrival Hall, a whimsical Sanrio-themed carnival awaits, offering games, rides, and collectibles.
Visitors can try their hand at Sanrio game booths, take photos with beloved characters, and enjoy rides, with limited-edition pins and plush toys available as prizes.
For every S$50 spent in a single receipt, visitors can redeem five carnival tokens, with bonus tokens available for Mastercard and Changi Pay users.
The new Cosmic HydroPark, located at T3 Coach Bay, debuts as Changi’s first inflatable water park, with an exciting obstacle course featuring swings, trampolines, and a giant slide.
Young adventurers can enjoy water battles, climb rocking boats, and splash around in the Kiddy Pool.
Tickets start at S$19 for weekdays and S$24 on weekends, with passes redeemable using carnival tokens or available through the Changi App.
For holiday shopping, Changi Airport features pop-up stores across Terminals 2, 3, and 4, stocked with exclusive Sanrio merchandise, travel items, and toys.
Shoppers spending S$60 can purchase limited-edition Hello Kitty and Friends items, like hand warmers and cabin luggage, with additional exclusive offers for iShopChangi and Changi Rewards members.
From 4 November to 5 January, visitors can use the Changi App to participate in the Space APPxplorer gamification experience, collecting Comets for rewards, such as Sanrio merchandise and Changi Rewards points.
High scorers can win up to one million Changi Rewards points, valued at S$5,000.
