FHA-HoReCa 2024 Concludes with Focus on Sustainability, Culinary Talent, and Business Connections

FHA-HoReCa 2024, Asia’s leading foodservice and hospitality event, wrapped up its four-day showcase of global business exchanges, culinary competitions, and industry workshops. This year’s event drew an impressive 32,000 attendees from over 30 countries and regions, spotlighting the growing focus on sustainability in the hospitality industry.

Held at Singapore Expo across 50,000 square meters, FHA-HoReCa 2024 featured more than 800 exhibitors, including 11 country pavilions from China, France, Germany, and others. This premier event continued to be a hub for innovation and collaboration within the foodservice and hospitality industry.

Ian Roberts, Vice President of Informa Markets (Asia), highlighted the event’s focus on impactful sustainability practices, stating, “FHA-HoReCa has long played a pivotal role in driving growth and innovation within the food and hospitality industry. This year, we aimed to play that role with an added commitment to sustainability, moving beyond superficial measures to deeper, more impactful changes—and we have definitely succeeded.”

The event featured culinary competitions that celebrated rising talent, including the Worldchefs’ Global Chefs Challenge. Winners included Ale Mordasini from Switzerland in the Global Chefs Challenge and Luca Bnà from Italy in the Global Pastry Chefs Challenge. Additionally, Team Japan won the Asian Gelato Cup and the Asian Pastry Cup, securing their spots in prestigious international contests.

FHA-HoReCa also collaborated with Worldchefs to host the Global Chefs Challenge in Singapore, underscoring its dedication to fostering culinary talent. “We are thrilled to have achieved that through this important partnership with FHA and the Singapore Chefs Association,” said Thomas Gugler, President of Worldchefs.

Over 5,000 business meetings took place, connecting high-value buyers with innovative products and services. Hosted buyers expressed appreciation for FHA-HoReCa’s role in facilitating growth. “FHA is more than just an exhibition—it is a catalyst for growth and innovation,” commented Neil Zachary Alquiro of Giligans Holdings Corporation in the Philippines.

The next FHA event, FHA-Food & Beverage, is scheduled for April 8–11, 2025, with the return of the FHA Culinary Challenge. In 2026, FHA-HoReCa and FHA-Food & Beverage will combine into a single event at Singapore Expo, utilising all 10 halls.
