Celebrate Resilience and Diversity at “Wild Flowers” by Maya Dance Theatre – Part of Enabling Lives Festival 2024

Get ready to be moved and inspired as Maya Dance Theatre (MDT) and the Diverse Abilities Dance Collective (DADC) proudly present “Wild Flowers – A Celebration of Resilience, Diversity, and Breaking Barriers Through Dance”. This powerful, inclusive production is part of SG Enable’s Enabling Lives Festival 2024 and promises to be a ground-breaking experience.

Running from 28 to 30 November at 61 Kerbau Road, “Wild Flowers” features two shows daily at 7:30 PM and 8:45 PM. Tickets are available on Peatix for $20.00 (standard) and $17.00 for PAssion card members.

At its core, “Wild Flowers” is a tribute to the strength and resilience of individuals with disabilities, challenging societal norms and pushing the boundaries of dance. Drawing inspiration from the hardy yet beautiful wildflower, this production metaphorically explores the journey of persons with disabilities as they search for a place in the world, break stereotypes, and bloom despite adversity.

Through the captivating performances by DADC dancers, audiences will witness stories of perseverance, self-discovery, and triumph. This is not just a show – it’s an invitation to step into their world, where talents shine beyond the stage, with backstage insights into their skills in administration, costume management, and more.

This marks DADC’s first live production following their successful SEEDS digital series (2021-2023). Featuring choreography by local talents Ewan and Redzuan from ENF Entertainment, the production highlights the boundless potential of persons with diverse abilities.

Join an evening of creativity, transformation, and inspiration. “Wild Flowers” will leave you with a deeper understanding and appreciation of the abilities and artistry of persons with disabilities.
