BIRKENSTOCK Steps Into Self-Care: New Foot Care Line, CARE ESSENTIALS, Puts Wellness First, Now Available in Singapore

BIRKENSTOCK, the renowned German brand with over 250 years of shoemaking expertise, has announced the global launch of its new Care Essentials line, which is now available in Singapore.

This expansion into foot care products builds on BIRKENSTOCK’s legacy of orthopedic innovation and commitment to holistic well-being. It makes sense to us for BIRKENSTOCK to go into foot care, we were more puzzled as to what took them so long. With a 250-year heritage, this is a timely addition.

The Care Essentials range includes a selection of foot care products designed to restore balance, revitalise, and rejuvenate, all while using 100% natural ingredients.The new line includes products such as Relaxing Bath Salts, Nourishing Foot Balm, Exfoliating Foot Scrub, and more, all made in Germany with certified vegan formulations.

These products emphasise simplicity, quality, and sustainability, reflecting BIRKENSTOCK’s core values. In addition, the packaging is crafted from recycled and recyclable materials, sourced and manufactured in Germany.

We were invited to sample the new product range and were impressed by its combination of effective formulations and luxurious self-care experience.

As someone who jogs regularly, the Nourishing Foot Balm with Murumuru Butter, Pomegranate Enzyme and White
Willow Bark Extract is a welcome treat with its rich texture that absorbs quickly, leaving my feet soft but not greasy. It is perfect for dry, cracked heels. The scent, a subtle mix of Cedarwood and Sandalwood essential oils with Blood Orange and Cypress notes, is just the right balance of calming and refreshing.

We also tried the Exfoliating Foot Scrub which puts together a combination of active ingredients, such as Pumice Stone, Peppermint Hydrolate and Rosemary Oil, to clean my storied feet and it worked wonders for smoothing out rough skin. The combination of natural oils like Cedarwood, Juniper and Thyme gives it an invigorating feel.

The Relief Lotion for Tired Legs & Feet is another highlight. It features active ingredients such as Menthol, Arnica Oil and Eucalyptus Oil and is great for anyone who stands or walks a lot, as it helps reduce the heaviness and tension in our legs after a long day.

Lastly, the Comforting Dry Oil delivers long-lasting nourishment with organic Jojoba, Calendula, and Sesame Oils, promoting soft, supple skin. Its floral notes of Petitgrain and Palmarosa help restore, while Bergamot and Elemi uplift your mood. The oil can be used on dry areas, added to the foot balm for extra hydration, or poured into bath water for a relaxing experience.

For the eco-conscious, all the products are made with vegan ingredients, and the packaging is fully recyclable. While the prices are on the higher side, we found the quality of the formulations and the sensory experience they provide to be worth the investment. Afterall, we spend a large amount of time on our feet, walking or running, but when was the last time we gave them the well-deserved pampering?
