Chamoon Hot Pot (享月汤皇), a hot pot chain from China that specialises in clear soup bases, has opened its first overseas branch in Singapore, bringing with it a unique dining experience that has already garnered over 1.2 million members across China:
Known for its healthier, nourishing hot pots, Chamoon seeks to deliver premium ingredients and exceptional service in an elegant setting. For hot pot lovers who are on a diet or would like to go for a healthier alternative once in a while, Chamoon is a welcome addition to the hot pot scene in Singapore.
We were invited for a dinner tasting for two and sampled one of their Opening Special set menus.
The restaurant, located at Scotts Square, offers a variety of signature soup bases, including the Truffle-Based Matsutake Mushroom Broth and the Singapore-exclusive Mala Broth.
Each soup is individually portioned, ensuring that diners enjoy a personalised hot pot experience. This does make it more exquisite, but it is harder for sharing of soup bases to try different flavours together.
Chamoon prides itself on using only the freshest ingredients, with seafood like prawns and mushrooms retaining their natural juiciness and flavour. The live tiger prawn served to us was still kicking.
For its opening promotion, Chamoon Hot Pot is offering an incredible deal for diners:
This is a great deal to try out Chamoon, with heftier discounts if you were to visit them earlier and progressively reduced later along the line.
The promotion runs until 24 October 2024, making it the perfect time to enjoy Chamoon’s premium dining experience at unbeatable prices.
50% off from 27 September to 3 October 2024
40% off from 4 to 10 October 2024
30% off from 11 to 17 October 2024
20% off from 18 to 24 October 2024
For our dinner tasting, we sampled the $98++ set menu for 2-6 persons features premium ingredients such as Norwegian Salmon Sashimi, Premium Wagyu Sirloin, Hokkaido Pork, and more:
Aside from the set menu, Chamoon Hot Pot’s signature dishes also include luxurious options such as Alaskan King Crabs, Australian Lobsters, and 5-head Abalones.
In addition to hot pot, the restaurant offers a selection of special cold dishes, snacks, and sides to complement the main courses.
Overall, Chamoon presents a differentiated hot pot experience that will appeal to those who prefer a more elevated and less communal dining experience with its individual serving pot as well as those who would prefer a healthier alternative with its specialty in clear soup base.
