Harbour City and Paul Smith Unveil Asia’s First Bar Paul and Stunning Stripe Illuminated Installation

Harbour City has teamed up with the esteemed British design company Paul Smith to launch an exciting new experience: the first Bar Paul in Asia, accompanied by the vibrant Stripe Illuminated installation. Inspired by the Italian cafés Paul Smith frequented in Soho during the 1960s, Bar Paul originally debuted as part of Smith’s SS25 presentation in Florence. Now, this limited-time pop-up bar has opened its doors at Harbour City, welcoming visitors every weekend from September 28 to October 27, 2024. Guests can indulge in fine wines, specialty drinks, and innovative gin cocktails crafted exclusively for Bar Paul, all complemented by a delightful selection of dishes from various Harbour City restaurants. Plus, attendees can take home personalized gifts, including caricature portraits and Hong Kong-style keychains.

The Stripe Illuminated installation, running from September 28 to November 10, 2024, features three eye-catching 3x3m cubes adorned with neon lights. This installation pays homage to Paul Smith’s first shop in Nottingham, which opened in 1970. Each cube showcases the iconic Paul Smith Signature Stripe while reflecting the designer’s passions, such as his childhood dream of cycling, the haberdashery that marked the start of his career, and his enduring love for photography—all presented with a nostalgic twist that resonates with Hong Kong’s vibrant culture.

In addition to the cubes, the installation includes shimmering neon signs and a stylish stripy barber’s pole, creating perfect photo opportunities for visitors. Best of all, entry to the installation is free, making it accessible for everyone to enjoy.

Whether you’re a fashion enthusiast or a wine lover, don’t miss the chance to experience the sophisticated ambiance of Bar Paul and the dazzling Stripe Illuminated installation at Harbour City. Come and get classy tipsy while surrounded by the captivating Paul Smith Signature Stripe.
