[Review] Chimichanga Little India Celebrates 8th Anniversary with $8.80 Angus Ribeye and More

Chimichanga Little India, a well-established name in Singapore’s casual dining scene, is celebrating its 8th anniversary with a slew of special promotions and exciting new dishes.

Restaurant’s interior at Chimichanga Little India

Known for its vibrant take on Mexican cuisine with a local twist, the Little India outlet has introduced a range of new offerings, including limited-time promotions like a $8.80 per 100 gram, Angus Ribeye dish:

8.80/100g Angus Ribeye: An Unbeatable Deal

For steak lovers, this deal is not to be missed.

200 Day Grain-Fed Angus Ribeye (200g) – $17.60

The highlight of Chimichanga’s anniversary celebration is their 200 Day Grain-Fed Angus Ribeye, available for just $8.80 per 100g (minimum order of 200g). The ribeye is seasoned with Tajín spices, crusted to perfection, and served alongside a zesty mustard-lime salsa and creamy papas majada.

The 200g portion we tried was perfectly cooked—juicy, tender, and brimming with flavour.

The Tajín spices added a subtle kick of heat, while the mustard-lime salsa brought a refreshing acidity that balanced the richness of the beef. The papas majada (mashed potatoes) provided a smooth, buttery accompaniment, making this a well-rounded and satisfying dish.

For the quality and price, this is easily one of the best steak deals in town, available exclusively at Chimichanga’s Little India outlet until 30 September. Don’t miss it!

Exciting New Additions: Quesabirria and Breaded Oysters

Quesabirria Beef Quesadilla ($19)

Chimichanga Little India has also introduced a few new items to their menu, and we tried the new Quesabirria Beef Quesadilla ($19).

This dish delivers in both flavour and texture, featuring tender, slow-cooked beef encased in a crisp, golden quesadilla. The beef was succulent and well-seasoned, while the melted cheese added a delicious creaminess. It’s a hearty comfort dish that is perfect for those looking for something substantial.

Do not be deceived by its small size due to the flat shape, it is very filling because of the heavy load of cheese and beef hidden inside.

Breaded Oyster ($12)

This is a new dish that is kind to the wallet. The Breaded Oysters ($12), offered a delightful surprise at a very reasonable price.

Served with a jalapeño mayo, the oysters were perfectly fried—crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. The slight brininess of the oysters was complemented by the tangy and mildly spicy mayo, creating a well-balanced bite. This dish works well as a light starter.

Other than the new dishes, we tried some of their usual crowd favourites to round up our meal. What is a visit to Chimichanga restaurant without trying their Chimichanga right?

Chipotle Chicken Chimichangas ($18)

Chimichanga’s classic menu staples remain just as enticing. The Chipotle Chicken Chimichangas ($18) is a signature dish that delivers on flavour and indulgence.

The chimichanga is generously stuffed with chipotle-seasoned chicken, cheese, and beans, before being fried to a golden crisp. Topped with queso, crema, and salsa, this is comfort food at its finest—rich, satisfying, and packed with robust Mexican flavours.

Warning, this is very filling and a full meal on its own.

Loaded Nachos with Ancho Beef ($18)

For those looking to share, the Loaded Nachos with Ancho Beef ($18) is an ideal choice.

The dish features crunchy corn tortilla chips piled high with queso, crema, salsa verde, pico de gallo, guacamole, and smoky ancho beef. The balance of flavours—creamy, tangy, and slightly spicy—makes this dish a crowd-pleaser. The generous portion size also ensures it is perfect for sharing among a group.

Auga De Coco Maracuya ($8)

In addition to their food offerings, Chimichanga has introduced a selection of Aguas Frescas, refreshing non-alcoholic drinks that pair perfectly with their rich, flavorful dishes. We tried the Auga De Coco Maracuya ($8), a refreshing blend of coconut, passion fruit, and lime. The combination of tropical flavors made for a sweet, cooling beverage that helped balance out the more indulgent dishes.

Auga De Mango Picante ($8)

For those seeking something with a bit more kick, the Auga De Mango Picante ($8) is a bold and intriguing option. The drink combines the sweetness of mango with the fiery heat of jalapeño, rounded off by a zesty lime finish. It is a drink that perks you up and offers a complex flavour profile.

We love Chimichanga for its hearty portions, bold flavours and vibrant atmosphere. This is how we envisioned a good restaurant serving Mexican comfort food to be like. With the $8.80 per 100 grams Angus ribeye promotion, this is a good time to revisit Chimichanga again for those who been there before and for new diners to try out their food and drinks.
