Banyan Group Expands in East China with New Resorts in Suzhou and Taizhou

Banyan Group continues its strategic expansion in East China with the launch of three new resorts: Banyan Tree Yangcheng Lake, Garrya Yangcheng Lake, and Garrya Xianju. These new properties cater to a variety of travelers, offering immersive experiences that celebrate the cultural richness of Yangcheng Lake and the serene beauty of Xianju, further solidifying Banyan Group’s presence in the region.

Banyan Tree and Garrya Yangcheng Lake – A Waterfront Retreat in Suzhou

Nestled along the picturesque Yangcheng Lake, the opening of Banyan Tree and Garrya resorts showcases Banyan Group’s growth in the Yangtze River Delta. Banyan Tree Yangcheng Lake offers a luxurious sanctuary designed to inspire relaxation and exploration. With 70 rooms and villas, each featuring private hot spring pools and panoramic lake views, the resort embodies a “Dreaming Over the Lake” concept, blending contemporary elegance with traditional Jiangnan aesthetics.

At the heart of the resort is the award-winning Banyan Tree Spa, where guests can indulge in treatments rooted in ancient Asian traditions. Additional amenities include a state-of-the-art gym, hot springs, an indoor heated pool, and two exquisite dining venues – Mingyue All-Day Dining Restaurant and Baiyun Chinese Restaurant – which celebrate the flavors of the Jiangnan region, including the famous hairy crabs.

Meanwhile, Garrya Yangcheng Lake, located on the eastern shore of the ‘Beauty’s Leg’ Peninsula, offers a peaceful lakeside escape with 210 rooms designed around a ‘Garden Fantasy’ theme. Guests can enjoy fresh produce from the resort’s farm at the on-site restaurants, Refresh and Retreat, or rejuvenate at the 8LEMENTS Spa, which features public hot springs and a dedicated kids’ club.

Garrya Xianju – A New Haven in Taizhou

Marking Banyan Group’s first resort in Taizhou, Garrya Xianju is situated in the breathtaking Shenxianju Scenic Area, offering 195 rooms with private balconies and stunning mountain views. The resort caters to a wide range of travelers, from families to professionals, providing a comprehensive stay experience with amenities like a riverside pool, children’s club, yoga room, and treatments at 8LEMENTS Spa.

Dining options include two restaurants offering traditional Jiangsu and Zhejiang snacks, along with local Taizhou specialties and international cuisine, making it a culinary destination for all.

Looking Ahead

These new openings follow the earlier launch of Banyan Tree Suzhou Shishan and Angsana Suzhou Shishan, reinforcing Banyan Group’s commitment to expanding its multi-brand presence in East China. With each resort offering a distinct sense of place and exceptional experiences, Banyan Group continues to elevate luxury hospitality in the region.
