FHA-HoReCa 2024 Returns with a Green Focus on Sustainable Hospitality and Foodservice

Asia’s premier foodservice and hospitality trade event, FHA-HoReCa 2024, is set to make a grand return from October 22-25, 2024 at the Singapore EXPO. This year’s show focuses on sustainable solutions for the hospitality sector and will, for the first time, host the Global Chef Challenge Finals in Singapore.

With 45,000 trade attendees expected from 70 regions, over 800 exhibitors from more than 30 countries will showcase the latest innovations across five core segments: Bakery, Pastry & Gelato, Foodservice & Hospitality Equipment, Hospitality Style, Hospitality Technology, and Specialty Coffee & Tea.

Spotlight on Sustainability and Innovation

As sustainable tourism gains momentum, FHA-HoReCa 2024 will feature the Future of Hospitality Seminar, bringing together industry leaders to discuss sustainability, hotel design, and technology innovation. Singapore, with over 40% of its hotels pioneering sustainable practices, is at the forefront of this movement.

New exhibitors include:

  • Codemax, showcasing foodtech innovations for productivity.
  • Tsuboichi Tea Manufacturing, introducing Japanese Kombucha to Singapore.
  • Molton Brown, displaying its luxury haircare collection in eco-friendly packaging.
  • Anchor Food Professional, launching Infiniti Cream.
  • Lynns Limited, bringing BoneChina tableware made with 45% bone ash.
  • Normann Srl, unveiling an innovative modular blast-chilling system.

Exciting Competitions and Culinary Showcases

In addition to product showcases, FHA-HoReCa 2024 will be a hub for culinary competitions. New challenges include the FHA Bakery Challenge and FHA Dessert Challenge, along with the FHA Barista Challenge. The event will also host the prestigious Asian Gelato Cup and Asian Pastry Cup, qualifying chefs for global competitions in Italy and Lyon.

Singapore Hosts Global Chef Challenge Finals

For the first time in 34 years, Singapore will host the Global Chefs Challenge Finals, featuring 72 chefs from 25 countries. Categories include the Global Chefs Challenge, Global Pastry Chefs Challenge, and the inaugural Global Vegan Challenge. Notable participants include:

  • Joe Chong Ming Jie, junior sous chef of one-MICHELIN-starred Speilsalen.
  • Dobre Andrei Flavian, Best Male Pastry Chef 2023.
  • Miguel Angel Gonzalez, reigning Campeón América Global Pastry Chef 2023.
