Over 30,000 Gather for an Action-Packed Weekend at HYROX Singapore

HYROX Singapore made a powerful return to the Singapore EXPO with its first-ever two-day event, drawing over 30,000 participants and spectators for a thrilling weekend of fitness. Following a successful June event, this expanded format doubled the excitement, attracting more than 6,000 eager participants to the world’s fastest-growing fitness racing series. Partnering with the Fitness+Wellness Expo (FWE), the event was a centerpiece of Singapore’s inaugural Urban Sports and Fitness Festival.

A Weekend of Fitness and Fun

With athletes of all levels competing, the event featured HYROX’s signature blend of functional exercises and running intervals, offering a challenging and rewarding experience. Participants took on categories such as Open, Pro, Doubles, Doubles Pro, and Team Relay, each navigating eight functional stations interspersed with 1km runs. Mr. Tan Kiat How, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Digital Development and Information & Ministry of National Development, flagged off the HYROX Mens Pro race on Saturday, 31 August 2024.

The expansive Singapore EXPO hosted a variety of challenging stations, including:

  • 1,000m SkiErg
  • 50m sled pull
  • 50m sled push

Debut of the HYROX YOUNGSTARS CHALLENGE

A major highlight was the debut of the HYROX YOUNGSTARS CHALLENGE, introducing young athletes to fitness racing. This free challenge, designed for ages 8 to 15, attracted 250 participants and featured tailored workouts led by professional coaches. The challenge tested speed, agility, strength, and coordination through activities like shuttle runs, Ski-Erg, weight pull, obstacle courses, and more.

A Bright Future for HYROX Singapore

HYROX Singapore has cemented its status as a key player in the regional fitness scene. The success of the two-day format and the introduction of new initiatives like the HYROX YOUNGSTARS CHALLENGE highlight the exciting future of fitness racing in Singapore.
