AirAsia is set to enhance travel between Singapore and India with the introduction of a new route to Port Blair in the Andaman Islands. This exciting new service, which includes a brief stopover in Kuala Lumpur, further establishes AirAsia as a leading low-cost carrier in the region, offering affordable and seamless connectivity through its Fly-Thru services. Notably, this will be the first international flight to Port Blair operated by an ASEAN airline, making history for AirAsia.
Commencing on November 16, 2024, AirAsia will operate three weekly flights to Port Blair from Kuala Lumpur. The new route adds to AirAsia’s already extensive network, which links Singaporean travelers to 17 cities across India via Kuala Lumpur, including popular destinations like Chennai, Jaipur, and New Delhi. With the launch of this service, Singaporeans now have direct access to one of India’s most pristine and sought-after beach destinations.
Port Blair, located in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the Bay of Bengal, has long been a dream destination for adventure seekers and nature lovers. Known for its clear blue waters, vibrant marine life, and serene beaches, the city offers a perfect getaway. Whether exploring historical landmarks or enjoying water sports, Port Blair has something for every traveler. The surrounding islands are also home to ancient tribal communities protected by the Indian government, adding a rich cultural layer to the visit.
To celebrate the launch, AirAsia is offering promotional fares from Singapore to Port Blair, starting at just SGD330 one way, inclusive of all taxes and fees. These special fares are available for booking through the AirAsia MOVE app (formerly the airasia Superapp) or on airasia.com from now until August 18, 2024, for travel between November 16, 2024, and October 25, 2025.
