Supporting Education and Upskilling

Beneficiaries of the bursary program received up to $400 each to help cover the costs of education or upskilling courses. The amount awarded is based on the recipient’s level of education: $200 for primary school students, $300 for secondary school students, and $400 for those pursuing tertiary education or upskilling courses.

Expanding panda hearts in Singapore

foodpanda is set to enhance its welfare and engagement initiatives for delivery partners in Singapore through the panda hearts program. These efforts will focus on five core areas that delivery partners value:

Personal Development: foodpanda provides various opportunities for personal growth, including access to upskilling courses and financial literacy workshops in addition to the bursaries.

Well-being: The program prioritizes the well-being of delivery partners through health screenings, mental health assistance programs, exercise events, and more. Delivery partners in Singapore also receive complimentary insurance coverage during their sessions and concessions on telemedicine consultations and fitness classes.

Safety: foodpanda encourages delivery partners to prioritize road safety through safety training courses, safety bonuses, and allowances. The company plans to distribute over 1,000 safety and essential kits, containing items like mini first aid kits, vehicle tool kits, and helmets, throughout the year.

Community: The program aims to build a supportive community where delivery riders can easily resolve issues and share feedback. Physical pandarider hubs provide onsite support and a space for delivery partners to rest and connect with others during adverse weather conditions.

Welfare Perks: foodpanda offers a wide range of exclusive benefits to help alleviate the cost of living for delivery partners. These include food and grocery discounts, subsidized petrol, free bicycle rentals, affordable e-bike installment plans, and referrals to affordable motorbike rentals and vehicle servicing and repairs.

A Commitment to Support

With these initiatives, foodpanda reaffirms its commitment to supporting the welfare and development of its delivery partners in Singapore, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to thrive both personally and professionally.
