Our Tampines Hub Celebrates National Day and 7th Anniversary with Music & Cultural Extravaganza

Our Tampines Hub (OTH), Singapore’s largest integrated community and lifestyle hub, is gearing up for a grand celebration this August. In conjunction with Singapore’s 59th National Day and OTH’s 7th anniversary, the hub will host a series of vibrant music and cultural programmes designed to delight the entire family.

Nanyang Jazz

  • Dates: 3 & 10 August, 5pm
  • Venue: Festive Arts Theatre
  • Details: Singapore’s vintage songbird Miss Lou will bring her unique Nanyang jazz to the stage. This Southeast Asian musical style draws inspiration from 1930s Shanghai and the golden era of American jazz.

National Day Harp Concert

  • Date: 9 August, 11.30am
  • Venue: Festive Arts Theatre
  • Details: Enjoy a captivating concert featuring harp ensembles with both Singaporean and international guest harpists. They will perform local favorites such as “Kopi O,” “Bunga Sayang,” and “Singapore Town.”

‘United Tampines’ Concert

  • Date: 9 August, 4pm
  • Venue: Town Square
  • Details: Hosted by celebrities Fauzie Laily and Eswari Gunasagar, this concert will feature local contemporary orchestras and leading Singaporean vocalists. Highlights include performances by T’ang Quartet with Nick Zavior, Stringanza with singer Joi Chua, Orkestra Trio with Addy Cradle and Iskandar, and the Singapore Indian Orchestra and Choir.

Singapore Symphony Orchestra’s National Day Concert

  • Date: 11 August, 4pm
  • Venue: Festive Plaza
  • Details: Conducted by Leonard Tan, this marquee event showcases new works by Singaporean composers, celebrating the legacy of our musical forefathers. The concert will be live-streamed at the Hub.

Jamming & Cultural Performances

  • Dates: 8-11 August
  • Venue: Festive Plaza
  • Details: Enjoy musical jamming sessions by local bands and various cultural dance performances throughout the National Day weekend.

Additional Activities

From 8 to 11 August, OTH will offer a variety of fun-filled activities, entertainment, and freebies for the public. These include:

  • Stage performances
  • Sports try-outs
  • Arts & craft workshops
  • Culinary workshops
  • Fitness workouts
  • Free movie screenings

The festivities will also feature a live streaming of the National Day Parade and fireworks on 9 August.
