SpongeBob SquarePants is turning 25, and Nickelodeon is pulling out all the stops to celebrate. From exclusive content and fan events to special merchandise and more, the festivities will span the entire year, inviting fans of all ages to join in the fun.
The celebrations begin with the iconic Kids’ Choice Awards on July 17, airing on Nickelodeon at 3:00 PM MY PH SG / 2:00 PM WIB, with encore telecasts on July 18 and 20. For the first time ever, SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star will host the awards live from Bikini Bottom, featuring advanced augmented reality and enhanced graphics. This immersive, slime-filled event marks the start of a series of exciting initiatives celebrating one of the most beloved animated series of all time.
Starting in July, fans can enjoy a series of anniversary specials on Nickelodeon. These specials will feature favorite characters like Kevin C. Cucumber and Plankton, and explore various eras of Bikini Bottom. Don’t miss SpongeBob’s Birthday Marathon on July 14 from 1:00-3:00 PM MY PH SG / 12:00-2:00 PM WIB, and new episodes airing weekdays from July 22 to August 2.
In Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie, Sandy Cheeks embarks on an adventure to Texas to save Bikini Bottom from a villainous plot. This exciting film, starring a supporting character from the franchise, will be available soon on Netflix.
