The Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon (SCSM) is set to return from November 29 to December 1, 2024, with Standard Chartered renewing its long-standing commitment to Singapore’s premier running event. This partnership, dating back to 2002, underscores the shared values of resilience and determination, bringing together people from all walks of life.
This year’s marathon introduces several exciting new elements aimed at enhancing the experience for runners and fostering community spirit:
Teams of five runners will take turns completing sections of the marathon course, passing a sash to the next runner at designated transition points. This race encourages teamwork and inclusivity, allowing more participants to join the marathon. Standard Chartered is offering 100 complimentary Ekiden slots on a first-come, first-served basis to corporate teams committed to fundraising for Futuremakers by Standard Chartered. This initiative supports young people in gaining skills, employment, and building microbusinesses.
Aimed at inspiring novice runners, this challenge includes complimentary registration slots, training programs, running clinics, and other incentives for Standard Chartered’s Singapore-based employees. This complements other employee engagement activities like Home Run @ SCSM, where employees run or walk to raise funds for Futuremakers.
Exclusive to Standard Chartered Singapore cardholders until October 13, 2024, this promotion offers a chance to win marathon slots for the 2025 Standard Chartered Marathon events in Hong Kong, Taipei, Hanoi, or Kuala Lumpur. Winners will receive round-trip economy flights and a three-night hotel stay in the respective cities.
This year’s marathon will feature a route showcasing Singapore’s stunning landmarks, enhancing the overall running experience. Detailed information about the route and road closures will be announced closer to the event.
The three-day event kicks off with the Kids Dash on Friday, November 29, followed by the 5 km and 10 km runs on Saturday, November 30. The half marathon, full marathon, and Ekiden races will take place on Sunday, December 1.
Prices include GST and are subject to a 9% platform fee. Standard Chartered cardholders enjoy a 15% discount on registration fees.
