To accommodate the surge in travel demand during the summer holidays, Vietjet is significantly expanding its services. The airline is increasing domestic routes by 35% and night flights by 46%, adding a total of 1.4 million domestic tickets across Vietnam. This boost in capacity includes enhanced frequencies on existing routes connecting key cities like Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Nha Trang, as well as new routes between various provincial cities.
Vietjet’s domestic expansion includes an increase in night flights, totaling 3,100 overnight services from major hubs such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang to other provinces like Hai Phong, Vinh, and Thanh Hoa. This strategic move aims to offer travelers more flexibility and lower fares during the peak travel season.
To cater to international travelers, Vietjet is launching four new non-stop services:
These new routes will strengthen Vietjet’s connectivity between Vietnam and key international markets, offering convenient travel options for tourists and business travelers alike. Notably, Vietjet will be the only airline providing direct flights from Phu Quoc Island to Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung, enhancing its Vietnam-Taiwan flight network to nine direct services.
Phu Quoc Island, a rising star in Vietnam’s tourism scene, offers visa exemptions for international travelers for stays up to 30 days. The island saw a remarkable 200% increase in international arrivals in the first quarter of 2024, underscoring its growing popularity.
Tickets for these new routes are available through all official Vietjet booking channels. Passengers can take advantage of promotional fares starting from USD 0 (excluding taxes and fees) every Friday, applicable to flights until December 31, 2024 (excluding holidays and peak seasons). Booking is available via the Vietjet Air mobile app and official website.
This summer, Vietjet is also running a “Fly daily, win daily with Vietjet” program, offering up to VND 6 billion (USD 235,000) in prizes for SkyJoy loyalty members who book flights by August 7, 2024. This initiative aims to reward frequent travelers and enhance their flying experience.
