Skechers Friendship Walk 2024: Join Qiu Feng Ze, Hazelle Teo and Other Local Stars for an Unforgettable Day of Fun and Fitness

The seventh edition of the Skechers Friendship Walk is set to take place on Saturday, 8 June 2024, from 3pm. Organised by global apparel and footwear brand, Skechers, this year’s event will be held for the first time at OCBC Square at the Singapore Sports Hub, accommodating up to 5,000 participants.

Singaporean singer/songwriter and Skechers Singapore Brand Ambassador Qiu Feng Ze (@qiufengze), will kick off the event and participate in a meet-and-greet session.

With the move of the event to the new venue, the participant capacity has been increased by 25% from last year’s venue at Marina Bay Sands Event Square, catering for even more people to join in the fun.

During the event, stay and hang around the venue to enjoy performances by local buskers Danial (@danialeliasteo), Murphy (@murph.z), Jeff Ng (@jeffhellomusic), Little Band Plus (@littlebandplus), Lyla Ng (@lylahzn), and popular TikTok content creators Simonboy (@simonboyyyyyyy) and Tommy (@tommynbcb).

For the family crowd, the event features lots of fun stuff for all ages including carnival activities, food trucks, game stations, a pet agility course, and a kids’ bouncy castle.

Hosted by Mediacorp personality Hazelle Teo, the event aims to promote fitness, fun, and friendship.

“Skechers Friendship Walk isn’t just about walking or running,” shared Zann Lee, Managing Director of Skechers Southeast Asia. “Our goal is to strengthen familial bonds, encourage wellness, and foster an inclusive community.”

Participants can choose between two categories: a 4km leisure walk or a 10km competitive run. The 10km run, starting at 5:30 PM, will cover landmarks such as Tanjong Rhu Suspension Bridge, Bay East Garden, Marina Barrage, and Gardens by the Bay. The 4km leisure walk, starting at 6 PM, is perfect for friends and families, offering scenic photo opportunities and fun challenges.

Asher and I have signed up for the 10km category, after having completed the 5km run last year. We had a lot of fun at the event last year and look forward to participating in the run again this year.

All participants will receive a Skechers race pack worth $80, including a Skechers Friendship Walk 2024 T-shirt, a drawstring bag, event bibs, and a 40% discount voucher. Additionally, one lucky participant will win a year’s supply of Skechers shoes, worth $1,500.

The registration fee ranges from $35 to $70 for the 4km walk category and $35 for the 10km run category. Skechers members can enjoy preferential rates until 26 May. As part of its social responsibility commitment, Skechers will donate $2 to APSN for each participant, supporting individuals with mild intellectual disabilities.
