World-renowned three-Michelin-star Chef Corey Lee and Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS) are set to unveil Na Oh, a new restaurant concept that promises to enrich Singapore’s vibrant culinary scene.
Na Oh, meaning ‘moving from inside out’ in Korean, will transcend the typical restaurant experience. It aims to become a cultural hub for Korean cuisine, craft, and design in Singapore. This innovative venture marks Chef Corey Lee’s first project in Southeast Asia, bringing a fresh and exciting dimension to the city’s gastronomic offerings.
Chef Corey Lee, based in San Francisco, will lead Na Oh’s culinary vision, exploring traditional Korean cuisine through a modern lens. The restaurant will be integrated into HMGICS, extending the center’s customer experience beyond automotive production into a unique hospitality destination.
HMGICS will play a central role in Na Oh’s concept, leveraging its cutting-edge automation and robotics technology. The facility operates a two-story vertical smart farm, capable of producing over 30kg of fresh produce daily. This world-first robotics smart farm, designed for customer experience and open to visitors, will supply ingredients directly to Na Oh, creating a refined farm-to-table dining experience.
Under Chef Corey Lee’s guidance, Na Oh’s culinary team will offer exquisite hansik cuisine, tailored for the modern palate. The restaurant will draw inspiration from Korean traditions, featuring curated collaborations with Korea’s master artisans, providing both a gastronomic delight and cultural insights.
Na Oh is set to open to the public in June 2024, promising to be a destination where culinary innovation meets cultural heritage.
