Land Transport Authority and The Secret Little Agency Partner with Filmmaker Jack Neo to Spark EV Revolution in Singapore

In a bid to accelerate Electric Vehicle (EV) adoption in Singapore, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and The Secret Little Agency have joined forces with renowned filmmaker Jack Neo for the third and final installment of a groundbreaking film series. This collaboration represents a significant step towards leveraging the power of cinema to drive public awareness and readiness for EVs in the country.

Since its launch in December last year, the campaign has been dedicated to educating Singaporeans about the burgeoning EV landscape and the robust infrastructure supporting its growth. Through a series of cinematic narratives, the initiative aims to captivate audiences while delivering key messages about the nation’s electric future.

The first two films in the series took audiences on exhilarating journeys, showcasing the longevity of EV battery charges and highlighting the convenience of charging infrastructure. Now, the spotlight shifts to the electrification of public transportation, with iconic actor Henry Thia leading the charge in a poignant drama.

In this final installment, audiences will follow the emotional journey of Ah Hui, portrayed by Thia, as he endeavors to fulfill a promise to his departed love by embracing sustainability. Through Ah Hui’s story, viewers will witness the environmental benefits of transitioning to electric buses and the role each individual plays in driving Singapore’s electrification initiatives forward.

The decision to collaborate with Jack Neo, known for his ability to connect with audiences through humor and storytelling, underscores the strategic approach of the campaign. By tapping into Neo’s cinematic prowess, the final film aims to resonate with audiences of all ages, driving home the message that Singapore is ready for the EV revolution.

The films will be showcased across digital platforms and Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising channels until mid-2024, ensuring maximum visibility and impact.
