Join the Colour Socks Parade 2024 and Celebrate Creativity and Inclusivity

The Colour Socks Parade 2024 invites you to celebrate the remarkable talents of persons with intellectual disabilities (PWIDs) in a vibrant festival of self-expression and artistry.

Set against the backdrop of Singapore’s rich cultural tapestry, this festival is more than just a showcase of artistic prowess; it’s a rallying cry for inclusivity and support for PWIDs and their families. Organized by MINDS, the Colour Socks Parade plays a vital role in raising awareness for disabilities and advocating for increased community-based support services.

On April 6, 2024, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, join us for an immersive experience at the Inclusive Arts Festival. Dive into a diverse range of art activities and performances that highlight the unique talents of PWIDs. From captivating performances to interactive workshops, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Key Word Sign Workshop

Engage in the enlightening Key Word Sign Workshop, where you’ll learn manual signs and gestures to support communication for individuals facing speech or communication difficulties. Walk away with a Basic Key Word Sign Certificate of Attendance and enrich your interactive sign vocabulary.

“Paint a Tile” Initiative

Contribute to the heartwarming “Paint a Tile” initiative by donating and decorating one of the 1,000 white ceramic tiles provided at the festival. These tiles will be showcased on a tile wall at one of MINDS’ Centers, symbolizing unique hopes and voices for a more inclusive society.

Creative Activities for All

Explore your artistic side through various activities such as photo frame decoration, bookmark-making, and terrarium making. Perfect for friends and families to come together in support of a meaningful cause, these activities add an element of enjoyment and artistic expression to the event experience.
