Tamba, a vibrant celebration of West African culture and cuisine, opens its doors in March 2024. Located in the bustling Duxton neighborhood, Tamba promises to transport guests to the heart of West Africa with its lively ambiance and rich flavors.
Set within a charming two-story shophouse, Tamba exudes the warmth and hospitality of West Africa from the moment you step inside. Designed by internationally acclaimed designer Virginia Pérez-Orive, every corner of Tamba tells a story, with intricate textures and earthy tones reminiscent of African landscapes. From the rustic walls to the handcrafted wooden mural by French sculptor Etienne Moyat, every detail has been carefully curated to create an immersive experience for guests.
At the heart of Tamba’s culinary philosophy lies a deep respect for West African tradition and heritage. Each dish is a celebration of the region’s diverse flavors, offering guests a tantalizing journey through the rich culinary landscape of West Africa. From the beloved Jollof Rice with sofrito to the succulent Suya skewers made with Angus tenderloin, every bite at Tamba is a feast for the senses. Head Chef Darren’s personal favorite, the Tapalapa bread with goat’s milk ricotta and house-smoked honey, is a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to quality and authenticity.
No culinary experience is complete without a perfectly crafted cocktail, and Tamba’s bar menu is a testament to the artistry of mixology. Led by award-winning bartender Joma Rivera, the bar team at Tamba is dedicated to creating cocktails that tell a story. Drawing inspiration from West African culture, the cocktail menu features innovative creations like the Dry Boney, a savory tomato cocktail, and The Next Pele, a tamarind cachaca concoction.
With over 60% of African spirits in their collection, Tamba offers a unique drinking experience that celebrates the flavors of the region.
