Jetstar has lifted the curtain on its fresh uniform collection, marking a new chapter in its journey as it gears up to commemorate two decades of service in the skies. Crafted by acclaimed Australian fashion designer, Genevieve Smart, the revamped collection reflects a fusion of contemporary style and functionality, co-created with insights from 40 Jetstar pilots, cabin crew, and airport personnel over the past year.
The new uniform collection, set to be worn by over 5000 frontline team members across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Singapore, breathes new life into the airline’s visual identity. For pilots, the transition from traditional black to sleek blue uniforms brings a fresh aesthetic, accentuated by stylish cuts, revamped epaulettes, and the option of a chic neck scarf.
Cabin crew and airport staff will have an array of options to express their individual style preferences, including blazers in vibrant blue and orange hues, tailored skirts, tapered trousers, and stylish polos. The palette, featuring softer shades of orange complemented by blue, draws inspiration from the serene hues of a sunset viewed through an aircraft window.
Throughout the design journey, a dedicated group of 40 Jetstar frontline team members actively contributed to the process, ensuring that the final collection resonated with their needs and preferences. Recent wearer trials with the new fabric further refined the uniforms for optimal comfort and functionality.
The collection features two distinct sets catering to different styles and occasions. The first set exudes a holiday vibe with its timeless shirt dress, relaxed linen-look blazers, and tailored bottoms, all adorned with the signature Jetstar star print. The second set focuses on contemporary layering, combining classic tailored shirts with linen-look blazers and pants for a sophisticated travel-ready ensemble.
Jetstar’s pilots exude sophistication in the modern classic Pilot collection, featuring sharp navy tailored suits and slimline ties with subtle star jacquard fabric designs. The updated epaulettes, braids, and wings badges ensure a consistently polished and professional appearance.
