Get ready to embark on a journey into the heart of Hinghwa culture as the first-ever Hinghwa Food & Cultural Festival takes center stage from March 12th to 17th, 2024, at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza in Orchard Road. Organized by the Singapore Puxian (Hinghwa) Network, this six-day extravaganza promises to showcase the vibrant tapestry of Hinghwa heritage through mesmerizing performances, authentic cuisine, and exquisite crafts.

Prepare to be enchanted by captivating performances from both local and Chinese artists. Flying in exclusively for the festival are the renowned Putian Southern Temple Shaolin Monks, bringing centuries-old martial arts traditions to life with their awe-inspiring skills. Joining them is the esteemed Puxian opera troupe from the Puxian Opera Theatre, presenting excerpts from beloved classics like《踏伞行》 (Ta San Xing) and《春草闯堂·抬轿》.

Other highlights include visual artist Huang Feng Rong’s live painting showcase, as well as captivating performances by established calligraphers Zhu Wenhong and Huang Jiafang. Local talents Joanna Dong and Nathan Hartono will also grace the stage with their melodious voices, adding a touch of homegrown flair to the festivities.
