Gallery Children’s Biennale: Last Chance for Art and Play this March Holidays

As the March holidays approach, families are encouraged to seize the final opportunity to immerse themselves in the captivating world of the Gallery Children’s Biennale before it draws to a close on March 31st. Offering an array of engaging activities and special holiday programs, the Biennale promises an enriching experience for children and parents alike.

Weave with Izziyana

Date: March 9, 2024

Time: 10:30 am – 12:30 pm

Venue: City Hall Wing, B1, Auditorium Anteroom, National Gallery Singapore

Tickets: $5 per participant

Join Izziyana Suhaimi, a talented Singapore-based textile artist and creator of one of the Biennale’s commissioned artworks, for a unique craft workshop. Participants will learn the art of mending pre-loved clothes and textiles, transforming them into new and cherished items. Through this hands-on experience, children will gain valuable insights into the importance of sustainability and reducing waste.

Rhodo! A series of interactive encounters

Date: March 9, 2024

Time: 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Venue: National Gallery Singapore

Tickets: Free (No pre-registration required)

Embark on an adventure with Rhodo, the lovable pink creature who has lost its way! Join in the search for Rhodo throughout the Gallery and engage in interactive encounters that emphasize the value of compassion and caring for others. Through this whimsical activity, children will learn important lessons about empathy and collaboration, fostering a sense of community spirit.

  • 2:00 pm – 2:30 pm (suitable for children aged between 3 – 6 years)
  • 3:00 pm – 3:30 pm (suitable for children aged between 1.5 – 3 years)
  • 4:00 pm – 4:30 pm (suitable for children aged between 0 – 1.5 years)

Venue: Former Supreme Court Wing, B1 Koh Seow Chuan Concourse Gallery, National Gallery Singapore

Tickets: $10 per parent-child pair

Led by artist LittleCr3atures, this interactive workshop invites parents and children to explore the sounds of the tropical forest floor. Through sensory exploration and improvisation, participants will develop their natural curiosity and critical thinking skills.
