Vietjet Expands Vietnam-China Flight Network with New Ho Chi Minh City – Chengdu Route

Celebrating the Lunar New Year, Vietjet has launched its latest direct route, connecting Ho Chi Minh City to Chengdu. This exciting new service not only provides Asian travelers with a fresh travel option for the Spring holidays but also reinforces the air connectivity between Vietnam and China, promoting trade and tourism in the region.

The inaugural ceremony at Tan Son Nhat International Airport was graced by the presence of Mr. Wei Huaxiang, Consul General of China in Ho Chi Minh City, and Mr. Michael Hickey, Vietjet’s Chief Operating Officer. Together, they extended a warm welcome to passengers on the first flight, expressing their best wishes for Vietjet’s new venture in this auspicious Year of the Dragon.

Operating one daily return flight, totaling seven round-trips weekly, the Ho Chi Minh City – Chengdu route boasts a flight time of over four hours per leg. Flights depart from Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 19:10 local time and land in Chengdu Tianfu International Airport (TFU) at 00:15 the following day, local time. The return flights from Chengdu depart at 00:50 local time and arrive in Ho Chi Minh City at 03:55 local time.

Excitingly, unbeatable fares starting from just USD0 (excluding taxes and fees) are available every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
