Discover Singapore’s Heritage in a Contemporary Light: Introducing FABRICS OF SOCIETY: PRINTS & MOTIFS

The National Heritage Board (NHB) of Singapore has joined forces with ABRY, a globally acclaimed distributor and retailer of luxury and lifestyle brands, to introduce a captivating new capsule collection. Aptly named FABRICS OF SOCIETY: PRINTS & MOTIFS, this collection draws inspiration from the rich tapestry of artefacts housed within Singapore’s National Collection, offering a fresh perspective on the nation’s cultural heritage.

Crafted in Singapore by the renowned artist and print matter designer, Theseus Chan, the collection serves as a bridge between the past and the present, infusing historical significance with contemporary flair. Through a meticulous curation process, traditional elements from the National Collection are reimagined into modern merchandise, allowing for a deeper appreciation of Singapore’s diverse cultural landscape.

This collaboration not only underscores NHB’s commitment to preserving and promoting Singapore’s heritage but also aligns with the Our SG Heritage Plan 2.0, which emphasizes the importance of fostering partnerships between heritage and industry stakeholders. By teaming up with ABRY, NHB aims to amplify the visibility of Singapore’s National Collection both locally and internationally, enriching cultural experiences for audiences worldwide.

The FABRICS OF SOCIETY: PRINTS & MOTIFS collection showcases a captivating fusion of tradition and innovation, reflecting Singapore’s journey from its historical roots to its vibrant contemporary society.
