The OPPO Reno11 Pro, the newest member of the brand’s mid-range collection, continues to impress with its emphasis on aesthetics and camera prowess.
In our hands-on review, we find the OPPO Reno11 Pro to be a strong contender for those in the market for a new mid-range smartphone, especially if portrait photography ranks high on your list of priorities
The OPPO Reno11 Pro comes in two color options: Rock Grey and Pearl White.
Both colourways are inspired by nature and glints exquisitely in the light.
Our review unit is in Rock Grey- Look at that subtle shine! It is achieved by a process called OPPO Glow that combines a smooth frosted glass feel with a textured aesthetic.
The OPPO Reno11 Pro‘s design is not just about looks; it’s about comfort too. The slim profile, lightweight design, and curved edges ensure that the phone feels great in hand, making it a comfortable to hold for extended periods.
The crown jewel of the OPPO Reno11 Pro is undoubtedly its Ultra-Clear Portrait Camera System.
The camera setup includes a main 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor, a 32MP Sony IMX709 telephoto portrait camera, and an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide camera.
This trio of lenses, coupled with the Portrait Expert Engine‘s beautification features, allows even those with limited photography skills to capture photographs that look as though they have been plucked from the pages of a magazine.
In the picture on the right, you can observe the three lenses of the Ultra-Clear Portrait Camera System, enclosed within a protruding island referred to as the Sunshine Ring in OPPO terminology.
The camera system is optimized for capturing flattering portraits, with skin tones represented naturally and beautifully. The lenses and cameras have been fine-tuned to mimic the human eye’s perspective at 1x and 2x, providing users with a versatile range for framing and scene setting.
The default beautification setting may be too aggressive for some users, but it can be dialed back or turned off entirely for those who prefer an unfiltered look.
A picture speaks a thousand words. Check out the unprocessed, straight-from-the-camera images taken with the OPPO Reno11 Pro:
In addition to portraits, the camera does a good job in capturing a variety of subjects. Take a look at shots of nature, landscapes, and people below.
The OPPO Reno11 Pro is available in a single configuration, offering 12GB of RAM paired with 512GB of storage, priced at S$899. This pricing positions the Reno11 Pro in the higher end of the mid-range smartphone market.
It is available from the OPPO online store, physical OPPO concept stores, Shopee, Lazada, Qoo10, TikTok, iShopChangi, and other consumer electronic retailers (Best Denki, Challenger, Courts, Gain City, Harvey Norman, Popular).
