YouTrip Dragon Hunt: Digital Festivities with a Chance to Win S$8,888

YouTrip is adding an extra spark to this Chinese New Year with an exciting interactive dragon-themed digital hunt. Users are invited to embark on YouTrip’s Dragon Hunt adventure, where a virtual treasure trove awaits, offering participants the chance to win a grand prize of S$8,888 by sending e-Angbaos.

As part of the celebration, users who gift an e-Angbao during this festive period will not only spread joy but also stand a chance to receive a randomized Lucky Dragon. These Lucky Dragons represent opportunities to win cash prizes ranging from S$8 to the grand prize of S$8,888. The more e-Angbaos users send, the higher their chances of receiving the elusive Purple Dragon, which unlocks the possibility of winning the coveted S$8,888 cash prize.

Participating in YouTrip’s Dragon Hunt is simple – users just need to share the Lucky Dragon(s) they’ve received on Instagram, tag @youtripsg, and use the hashtag #ytcny2024. The winner of the rare Purple Dragon, along with other prize tiers, will be announced by February 26, 2024. Additional winners for the various prize tiers will be notified through Instagram by March 23, 2024.

YouTrip’s Digital Evolution: E-Angbaos in the Spotlight

With digital payments gaining widespread popularity among Singaporeans, YouTrip’s e-Angbao feature has emerged as a preferred choice, especially during festive seasons. The digital gifting trend has seen a significant uptick over the past few Chinese New Years, with an eightfold increase in senders and a 130% rise in the average total value sent compared to two years ago.

While the majority of e-Angbao senders fall within the Generation X and Millennials age range, an interesting trend has emerged – 8% of users above 60 years old participated in sending at least one YouTrip e-Angbao last year. YouTrip’s user-friendly interface has made the gifting process seamless across generations, contributing to the platform’s popularity.

This shift towards digital gifting can be attributed to the growing demand for convenience, offering an alternative to the traditional red packet and eliminating the need to queue for new bills. YouTrip’s Send function allows users to securely and instantly send money in any of its 10 in-app wallet currencies. Notably, over 50% of e-Angbaos sent in 2023 were in non-SGD currencies, with JPY, EUR, and GBP emerging as the top three foreign currency choices.

These foreign currency e-Angbaos served as thoughtful gifts for family or friends residing abroad, catering to recipients planning or currently traveling. Leveraging YouTrip’s favorable FX rates, users embraced the flexibility and creativity to gift in a meaningful and practical manner during the festive season.

Join the adventure, send an e-Angbao, and stand a chance to welcome prosperity with a grand prize of S$8,888 this festive season.
