Marina Bay Sands Invests $750 Million for Tower 3 and Hotel Transformation

Marina Bay Sands has announced a staggering investment of US$750 million in the second phase of its transformative program. This development aims to solidify the iconic integrated resort (IR) as a global tourism destination, offering unparalleled experiences for both local and international visitors.

A Visionary Transformation

The focus of the second phase is on Tower 3, the Hotel Lobby, and the renowned Sands SkyPark. This extensive renovation will introduce a reimagined VIP arrival experience, premium dining and retail offerings, a lobby overhaul, and a heightened emphasis on wellness experiences. Anticipated to be completed in stages through 2025, this phase will introduce over 550 redesigned rooms, including approximately 380 suites, enhancing the overall guest experience.

This initiative is part of a broader, multi-year program to position Marina Bay Sands as a leader in luxury hospitality. It comes on the heels of the final stages of the US$1 billion first-phase reinvestment, dedicated to the complete refurbishment of Hotel Towers 1 and 2, accompanied by new dining options and luxury lifestyle amenities catering to high-value travelers.

Commitment to Singapore’s Hospitality Industry

Marina Bay Sands’ expanded reinvestment program, totaling US$1.75 billion, demonstrates the commitment of parent company Las Vegas Sands to Singapore’s hospitality industry. The strategic investment aims to support the local economy, deliver enhanced product and service offerings, and set new standards for luxury hospitality in the region.

The first phase of transformation focused on upgrading around 1,280 rooms across Towers 1 and 2, introducing unique room types like the Horizon Suite and Family Suite. The Paiza Sky Club, set to open on the 55th floor of Tower 2 in February, promises a multi-concept executive club lounge offering exclusive experiences such as a tea vault, bespoke whisky bar, private liquor locker, garden conservatory, and buffet spreads from top chefs.

Elevating Service Standards

Marina Bay Sands is not only redefining its physical spaces but is also investing in its people to elevate service standards. The IR is providing in-house training at the Butler Academy for its butlers, and team members are enrolled in Forbes Travel Guide Five Star training since October 2023. The Premium Services Team has expanded its deployment to the airport, ensuring a seamless customer journey from arrival to departure.

New uniforms for service staff complement the property’s luxury positioning, creating a cohesive and upscale visual identity. The focus on wellness experiences is highlighted with the introduction of various activities, including Muay Thai boxing, spin classes, and sound bath meditation at SkyPark Observation Deck and Infinity Pool.

The Paiza Collection

Central to the transformation is the introduction of The Paiza Collection, featuring ultra-luxurious residential-style suites located on the highest floors of the hotel. Reserved for Marina Bay Sands’ most distinguished guests, this exclusive experience includes private VIP arrival, dedicated lifts, butler services, and access to the opulent Paiza Sky Club.

The Paiza Royal Collection, nestled on Levels 50 to 54 in Towers 1 and 2, hosts the Chairman Suite, Presidential Suite, Horizon Suite, and Marina Suite. The Horizon Suite, a one-bedroom urban retreat, boasts spa facilities, while the Presidential Suite, with a golf simulator, caters to sports enthusiasts. The Chairman Suite, spanning 600 square meters, offers a lavish three- or four-bedroom configuration with exquisite amenities, including an immersive 146-inch Samsung ‘The Wall All-in-One’ television screen.

Marina Bay Sands is shaping a new era of hospitality, blending luxury with innovation and wellness, setting the stage for unparalleled experiences in the heart of Singapore.
