In a move set to enhance connectivity and promote regional tourism, Vietjet has announced the commencement of a new direct route between Hanoi and Dien Bien, scheduled to take off in March. The introduction of this non-stop service aims to significantly reduce travel time between the two cities from 10 hours to less than an hour, fostering trade and tourism opportunities between the Northwest region and the capital city of Hanoi, as well as the Northern delta provinces.
The Hanoi–Dien Bien route is set to begin operations from March 1, 2024, offering three return flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The flights will depart from Hanoi at 09:30 and touch down in Dien Bien at 10:25. Return flights from Dien Bien will depart at 11:00, landing in Hanoi at 11:50.
To celebrate the launch of this new route, Vietjet is offering a special daily promotion with ticket fares as low as USD 0 (excluding taxes and fees) for all domestic flights, including the Hanoi–Dien Bien route. The promotion is available from 12:00 to 14:00 (GMT+7) online and the Vietjet Air mobile app.
Additionally, Vietjet is providing free Sky Care travel insurance to ensure passengers’ peace of mind throughout their journey. Members of Vietjet SkyJoy can accumulate points to redeem gifts from Vietjet and over 250 popular brands.
With this addition to its routes, Vietjet aims to contribute to tourism development in Dien Bien province, renowned for its rich history. Dien Bien becomes an attractive destination for spring trips, especially when the orchid tree flowers bloom, adding to the majestic beauty of the Northwest. Moreover, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, as Vietnam’s economic hubs, serve as vital centers for trade and tourism, connecting regions across the country.
With Vietjet’s extensive flight network covering Vietnam and international destinations such as Australia, India, China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, and more, passengers have a plethora of options for their Lunar New Year trips. The airline encourages travelers to explore Vietnamese cuisine, including Pho and Banh Mi, along with diverse international offerings.
Passengers can also enjoy a 30% discount on pre-booked meals.
