Korean Air Wins Global Traveler’s Awards Best Airline Cuisine

In the realm of high-altitude dining and travel extravagance, Korean Air has claimed the spotlight by winning the prestigious title of Best Airline Cuisine in Global Traveler’s 2023 Tested Reader Survey awards. Let’s embark on a journey through the clouds and explore the myriad accolades showered upon this airline that has elevated the art of inflight experiences.

Korean Air’s culinary prowess takes center stage, securing the top spot in Global Traveler’s Tested Reader Survey for Best Airline Cuisine. The airline’s commitment to creative and delightful inflight meals has garnered well-deserved recognition. But that’s not all – Korean Air has notched up multiple victories, including Best Business Class Seat Design and Best Frequent-Flyer Award Redemption Program.

The airline’s triumph doesn’t end there. Securing second place for Best Airline for International First Class and Best First-Class Seat Design, Korean Air further clinched third place in categories such as Best Airline for Flight Attendants, Best Airport Staff/Gate Agents, and more. The accolades keep pouring in, ranking fifth for Best Airline for Onboard Service, Best Airline for Flight Attendant Uniforms, Best Airline Cabin Cleanliness, Best Frequent-Flyer Elite-Level Program, Best Corporate Program for Business Travelers, Best Airline in North Asia, and Best Trans-Pacific Airline.

Global Traveler, a prestigious monthly luxury travel magazine based in the U.S., conducts an annual survey where its discerning subscribers cast their votes for the best in various travel-related categories. Korean Air’s triumphs in these awards underscore its unwavering commitment to passenger satisfaction.

This recognition is a testament to Korean Air’s ongoing investment in service enhancements. Earlier this year, the airline introduced a Korean-style vegan menu, drawing inspiration from traditional Korean temple cuisine. Catering to diverse tastes, Korean Air offers an extensive array of pre-order meals, including vegetarian, glucose-free, and children’s options.

Not just stopping at the dining experience, Korean Air has elevated its wine program under the guidance of renowned international sommelier Marc Almert, introducing over 50 new wines to its collection. The inflight entertainment experience has also been upgraded with an expansive library of video and audio selections.

Among the many highlights is Korean Air’s staggered Business Class seat, renowned for providing a private suite-like environment that is both spacious and comfortable.

As a result of these initiatives, Korean Air continues to shine on the global stage, receiving a Skytrax 5-star airline rating for the second consecutive time and an APEX 5-star global airline rating for the seventh consecutive year. Notably, the airline was named the Best Business and First Class Airline in the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
