Vietjet and Lao Airlines join hands in a groundbreaking comprehensive partnership. This historic collaboration not only marks a significant milestone for both airlines but also fosters stronger ties between Vietnam and Laos, two nations rich in culture and history.
In a momentous event witnessed by esteemed leaders including Vietnam National Assembly Chairman, Vuong Dinh Hue, and Laos National Assembly Vice Chairman, Sounthone Xayachak, Vietjet and Lao Airlines formalized their comprehensive partnership agreement. Beyond passenger and cargo transportation, the collaboration extends to technical cooperation, aircraft maintenance, repair, aviation workforce training, and more.
Adding to the excitement, Vietjet proudly announced the launch of a new direct route between Ho Chi Minh City and Vientiane, the capital of Laos. Starting February 2024, this route will stand as the only direct connection between these two vibrant localities. Travelers can anticipate four weekly return flights, each leg taking approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Vientiane, situated on the banks of the Mekong River, beckons with its picturesque landscapes and ancient charm. As the political and economic center of Laos, the capital boasts renowned architectural landmarks, temples, pagodas, local festivals, and a unique culinary scene. This newfound connectivity promises to open doors for travelers to immerse themselves in the cultural tapestry of Vientiane.
On the other end of the journey lies Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s bustling economic, cultural, and tourist hub. Known for its unique cultural blend, modern lifestyle, and seamless connectivity, Ho Chi Minh City serves as a gateway not only to various destinations within Vietnam but also internationally.
Vietjet’s visionary new route aims to contribute significantly to the promotion of trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between Vietnam and Laos. Beyond linking Ho Chi Minh City to Vientiane, it seamlessly integrates into Vietjet’s extensive flight network, covering destinations like Australia, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, India, Kazakhstan, and more.
