CapitaLand Appointed as Retail Operator for Kallang Alive Sport Management

Kallang Alive Sport Management (KASM) has announced a significant development in its retail operations as it appoints CapitaLand as its new retail operator, marking a dynamic shift in the management of the Kallang Wave Mall and various retail spaces within the Singapore Sports Hub.

CapitaLand, a prominent real estate conglomerate headquartered in Singapore, boasts a substantial presence with a network of over 70 malls across Singapore, China, Malaysia, and Vietnam. The six-year agreement, effective from 1 April 2024, sees CapitaLand taking over the reins from the current operator, Stellar Alpha, which has been managing these spaces since the inauguration of the Singapore Sports Hub in 2014.

Under this new partnership, CapitaLand will be entrusted with the responsibility of managing the extensive 41,000 square meters of commercial space situated within the Singapore Sports Hub. Furthermore, CapitaLand will introduce two exciting additions to enhance the patron experience. Firstly, the renowned CapitaStar, Singapore’s premier lifestyle and shopping rewards program, will become a part of the Kallang Wave Mall. Secondly, eCapitaVoucher will offer additional convenience and benefits to patrons.

In addition to the introduction of these programs, CapitaLand will work closely with tenants and strategic partners to curate a plethora of attractive mall programs and activities for visitors.

Simultaneously, the collaboration between CapitaLand and KASM will encompass a comprehensive review of plans aimed at revitalizing the overall patron experience. This transformation process will encompass refreshing the retail mix and offerings, reconfiguring spaces to create an enhanced ambiance, and seamlessly integrating the retail areas with the surrounding precinct spaces. While these enhancements will require some time for completion, they are set to breathe new life into the lifestyle, dining, and entertainment scene within the Singapore Sports Hub.
