Are you ready to embark on a journey of exciting recreation and vibrant community-building? NTUC Club, the leisure and entertainment arm of Singapore’s Labour Movement, is thrilled to introduce “UPlay” on 21 October at Downtown East. UPlay is all about enhancing social well-being and empowering workers through an innovative blend of physical and digital experiences.
Powered by NTUC Club, which boasts 27 years of expertise in engaging workers and catering to their well-being needs, UPlay is set to redefine recreational experiences. The UPlay team and its online portal offer a wide array of tailored local and overseas experiences, versatile venue spaces, and vibrant communities. This exciting initiative is open to everyone, including individuals, unions, and corporations. Notably, UPlay provides company-branded web portal solutions to unions and local companies, enabling them to extend these curated recreational experiences and employee-related activities to their members, fostering deeper engagement. Singaporeans and their families now have greater access to immersive, engaging, and affordable experiences than ever before.
With the slogan “You Play, We’ll Do The Rest,” UPlay provides a purposeful solution for unions and companies. This makes managing employee-related activities, including corporate team-building, retreats, and programs, easier by consolidating it all under one provider. Additionally, UPlay facilitates employee engagement through various communities created around specially-curated interests. This month, on 21 October, NTUC Club and SBS Transit, with the support of the National Transport Workers’ Union (NTWU), will embark on a three-year partnership to enhance the recreational needs of SBS Transit’s members and workers.
Early adopters of NTUC Club’s services include United Workers of Electronics & Electrical Industries (UWEEI) and SMRT Corporation. UWEEI organized a Family Day at Wild Wild Wet in June, which attracted over 2,500 participants. SMRT Corporation, with its 10,000-strong staff, is set to enjoy curated employee benefits like staycations, team bonding, and own-time-own-target lifestyle experiences over the next three years. These partnerships exemplify the impact and potential of UPlay in fostering a sense of community at work.
To complement the UPlay platform, NTUC Club’s interest-based communities will be enhanced under the My X Kaki brand. These communities bring people together based on their interests, age groups, and causes. Whether you’re a pet lover, have green fingers, enjoy baking, or love golf, there’s a community for you. For instance, pet lovers can join My Pet Kaki, and aspiring and seasoned golfers can be part of the vibrant golf community, My Golf Kaki.
The second edition of Communities Day Out, now known as Playverse, is returning to Downtown East on 21 October. This signature event, along with its ambassadors, offers a diverse array of interest-based communities for all ages. Expect a day filled with specially-curated activities that promote inclusivity and community building. The event is expected to welcome 4,000 attendees from the public, union members, corporates, and community members. From 10 am to 5 pm, Playverse: A Communities Day Out will present three special zones: My FamPlay Kaki, My Volunteer Kaki, and My Kakis.
Families can explore upcoming engagements that support “Dads for Life” and “Mums for Life.” There will be a hopscotch record-setting challenge aimed at achieving the country’s first record for the greatest number of people participating in the African Hopscotch. Pre-registration is available, and participants stand to win exciting prizes in the lucky draw.
For those with a heart for giving, this zone presents various volunteering initiatives for youth-at-risk and the elderly. Leaders and ambassadors will share their inspiring stories and love for volunteerism. Don’t miss the opportunity to become a volunteer with nEbO and enjoy exclusive rates for an annual nEbO membership.
This zone features the suite of experiences under NTUC Club. Ambassadors will guide participants on booking various workshops and experiences via NTUC Club’s online platform. Enjoy savings on a range of specially curated exciting activities and experiences.
